‘Welcome to Davis’ Mural Celebrates City and ɫ��ɫ Legacy

Seongmin Yoo identifies as an “Aggie” in every sense of the word. Though she grew up in South Korea, she says Davis is “home.”

Yoo has been working with the Davis Mural Team for the last three years and has helped paint five different murals downtown. She is passionate about helping the local art scene thrive.

ɫ��ɫ alumna artist Danielle Fodor, of Davis, has finished her #plan4resilience project and is holding a farewell art show before she moves to Washington.

The last mural in the #plan4resilience was painted on May 4 in front of the Varsity Theater by artist Dianna Craig. "Mighty Moms'' was designed in honor of her mom and all the women whose essential work keeps our society — and families — running.

Every August, local artists come together in Sacramento for Wide Open Walls, an 11-day mural painting marathon. To kick off the festival, Crocker Art Museum today will host Artmix evening from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Artmix, an adults-only art party, will feature everything from live music and dance performances to a group mural.
