Alumni Couple to Receive 2024 ɫ��ɫ Medal, University’s Highest Honor

ɫ��ɫ Medal Will Go to Bruce West

ɫ��ɫ, Chancellor Gary S. May announced today (Feb. 7) he will award the ɫ��ɫ Medal to alumnus Bruce West, chair of the ɫ��ɫ Foundation Board and a member of the Chancellor’s Board of Advisors.

The chancellor made the surprise announcement at a foundation board meeting this morning. “I’m pleased to say that the 2020 recipient of the ɫ��ɫ Medal is right here in the room,” May said as he turned to West.

Richard C. “Dick” Dorf, professor emeritus in the Graduate School of Management and in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the ɫ��ɫ, has been awarded the ɫ��ɫ Medal in recognition of his contributions to ɫ��ɫ and to the fields of engineering, entrepreneurship and technology management.
